Cooling Honeysuckle Lemonade

Cooling Honeysuckle Lemonade

Ingredients

Honeysuckle simple syrup
  • 1 cup honeysuckle, rinsed
  • 1 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 navel orange peel
Lemonade
  • ½ cup honeysuckle simple syrup
  • ½ cup freshly juiced lemon juice
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions

  1. To make honeysuckle simple syrup, add the honeysuckle, sugar, water, and orange peel to a small pot, and bring to a simmer with the lid closed over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove pot from heat, and let it steep for 1 hour. Pour the mixture through a mesh sieve into a glass jar.
  2. To make lemonade, combine all ingredients in a pitcher, stirring with a wooden spoon to combine. Chill for an hour or so in the fridge before serving over ice.
