Cooling Honeysuckle Lemonade

Ingredients
Honeysuckle simple syrup
- 1 cup honeysuckle, rinsed
- 1 cup raw cane sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 navel orange peel
Lemonade
- ½ cup honeysuckle simple syrup
- ½ cup freshly juiced lemon juice
- 3 cups of water
Instructions
- To make honeysuckle simple syrup, add the honeysuckle, sugar, water, and orange peel to a small pot, and bring to a simmer with the lid closed over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove pot from heat, and let it steep for 1 hour. Pour the mixture through a mesh sieve into a glass jar.
- To make lemonade, combine all ingredients in a pitcher, stirring with a wooden spoon to combine. Chill for an hour or so in the fridge before serving over ice.
